Tongan Language (Sister Monika)

Tongan Language

At the start of this year, the Year 6 students have been learning Tongan language with Sister Monika.
This takes place when the Year 7 students are at Technology.
Sister Monika has helped us learn some phrases in Tongan and also to respond to phrases spoken in the Tongan language.

Other activities we have been doing include :
- Worksheets translating English to Tongan
- Prayers, songs and dances e.g  Te Iwi e and Si'i lolo

Recently we have begun to learn other languages e.g Te Reo and Samoan.
We would like to thank Sister Monika for preparing the worksheets and tasks for us.

great work on your Tongan language it is very cool, also I like how you have told us about who is helping you guys out with this. I like how you guys have included the information about the things that you guys have done with Sister Monika. Something that you could work on is videoing you guys singing one of the songs, but I also Have a question, Is Te iwi e a Tongan song? but over all great work.

    Kind Regards Moni
