Student Summit

Student Summit Term 3, 2018

WALT: use different websites to share/present our learning

On the 13th of September Students from our school, from Rooms 8 and 6 were selected to go to the Student Summit. We walked down to Hornby High and joined up with other schools in our Cluster.  We all went into the new building at Hornby High School and were welcomed with a welcoming Waiata in Maori. Miss Morgan went through our session classes with us on a big television.
We then got told where we were to go and we started right away.

The topics that we were assigned were: Sick of making the same DLO's?, Use Piktochart and make your blogs more exciting, Vennage, create your own poster, slideshow and more, Pick-a-Path, Make music on scratch, Coding, Sumopaint, Pixel ART, Biteable Movies, Scratch coding, Voki, Online Music maker, iMovie, Important Chains/Skins, Sensational Storybirds, Gamefoot, A Path to a Movie, Gargantuan Google Sites, DIY ANIMATION, Robotics and How to Stop Mo.

We learned a lot of new ways to present and share our learning. We will endeavour to share our knowledge with others in our classes.

We had a lot of fun and we would love to do it again!
