St Johns
On the 4th of September we were acquainted with Paula Hart. Paula works for St Johns, particularly in Schools. We were very lucky to have learnt about keeping people safe and healthy.
Paula taught us how to do "DRSABCD", Paula also showed us how to deal with cuts. For this she taught us a jingle, it goes like this "Pack it, Wrap it, Raise it".
We did role plays and word puzzles. Paula was a great help to us for medical reasons and keeping ourselves safe in an Emergency. we would like to thank you very much for giving us more knowledge
DRSABCD (Doctor's ABCD) means:
Danger
Response
Send for help
Airway
Breathing
CPR
Defribulator
We are practicing the DRSABCD
Welcome to Room Eight's Blog. We are a class of Year 6 and 7 students at St Bernadette's School in Christchurch New Zealand. This is a place where we will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. We would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Kia ora Room 8 at St Bernadette's School. I am Miss Waho from Ara Tū Whakatā Gilberthorpe School just around the road from you. It is so good to see that you are learning about First Aid. I hope you don't have to use these skills very often but also hope you feel confident to help if you are ever in the position where First Aid is needed.
ReplyDeleteYour post reminds me that I have to look into doing another course myself. Thanks for sharing.
